Juan Wyn da hardworking people
Usually when you are young you enjoy life and u will feel shy if it’s your first time there. Well this really happened to me, when I was standard two I felt bored staying at the same home with same people every time, so my elder brother brought me to a place which is called the 1st Klang Boy’s Brigade. I first went there feeling lost, but I didn’t cry though .My first few weeks was quite boring, it’s because I don’t have a single friend there. My Saturdays are just the same as usual. But after some time, I can feel the presence of friendship there. Since then, I’m always very eager for Saturdays to come, because my favorite activities are on that day.
In the Boy’s Brigade, there are lots of activities including band, drill and our all time favorite, sports. There are always different activities every week; I didn’t know human brain could think so many different things every week. When I was a junior, there are so many things for me to learn, and we had to take test for badges (same as usual), follow the seniors for drill. When I was at standard 5, we juniors don’t follow the seniors for drill anymore, but we had our own drill teacher and the worst thing is ……he is my elder brother!!! He thought us drill and now he’s in the army, but we can’t run from his drill training until now.
Years passed by and now I’m in form two, still a private (but I’m proud to be, because I’m still a BB member). It’s been six years now, and my fire for BB is still increasing; I guess that’s the effect of the BB Blood. Most of our officers now are old members, and as a senior we eventually will get to know them. They really spent their time helping us, listening to us, and understand us. PESTA just gone by and thanks to W/O Peter that had spent a lot of time on us, we’ve got fifth placing in Malaysia. Lastly, BB isn’t just a uniform body, it’s THE uniform body. All members can always talk to the seniors and officers about anything, anytime. I’m feeling so sad for those who entered and quitted just like that; they said it’s boring. I guess it’s because they don’t know the meaning of teamwork, friendship and the bonding we have in BB.
For us BB is not just another way of life, it’s the only way of life. Asking me to quit??? No way! It’s already in my blood. Lonely? Come try joining the Boy’s Brigade, and you will soon know what is teamwork all about. ONE TEAM ONE VISION.
