Recently, SMK Tinggi Klang or High School Klang had emerged as the champion marching band in the entire Selangor state where they had beaten the former national champion SMK Katholik, PJ, and in addition, SMK Kwang Hua, Klang grapped the 2nd runner-up spot during the Selangor Marching Band 2006 held in Stadium Selayang, Selangor.

Over the years, I don’t think some of us have even realised that there is a marching band in SMK Tinggi Klang, but now, they have created history for themselves, they have beaten the national champion, for your information, SMK Katholik, Pj has been voted as national champion twice before and now they have been defeated. Congrats SMK Tinggi Klang, you have made ‘Klang Bandar Diraja’ proud.

Ya.. I think so.. we have a band.. we march.. we r a marching band 
Do we entertained the crowds?
Obviously, we play good music, not noise 
sometimes we r over excited that’s the time the rythm out abit.. stil okay.. i think we stil manage to entertain their ears.
What’s the difference between SMK Tinggi Klang band n FirstKlang Band?
Not much.. we r humans.. have a pair of hands, legs.. completely normal. They have a good bandmaster.. well we have Mr Goh.. as good as they are.. They have more instruments.. true true.. we have lesser but we’ll buy all of them soon… erm.. they play musics notes.. we too.. they have more members.. ya ya ya i know.. n we gona get more members soon.. all of that not really problems huh.. not much differences actually.. we r stil playin musics.
Actually there’s not much differences between them and us. More instruments? More members? Hmmnn.. i think that’s a matter of time.. Great team has great depth.. so as a Great band has great depth. They have been thru hard times.. jus like us now.. and bcos they hav their past.. look now they have their history.. great achievement indeed.. Look at FirstJB Band..

The BB Month is officially launched starting from 1st of July until 31 July 2006.
So what’s BB Month actually?
BB Month is actually the month where the entire company members, not only the boys but the officers working together to raise funds for the company.
What’s the purpose of BB Month?
Well, the funds that we have collected will be used to run the year long activities such as camps, outings, recruitment drives and alot more. Apart from that, the funds would also be used to channel more instruments into the brass band, thus improve the brass band strength. In short, BB Month funds are ‘from the boys for the boys’, in order to benefits the coming generations and contribute to the growth of the company.
What are the ways of raising funds?
Okay basically I’ve figure out three main target groups that you can head for:
Local members
For local members, well you can come to our First Klang base located at Wesley Methodist Church Klang (WMCK) No.4, Jalan Bukit Jawa, 41200, Klang, Selangor, to hand in your donations. If you’re not free to come over, feel free to mail in your donations, cheques and bank drafts all are welcome.
International members
Particularly members that are studying overseas, you can mail your donations, through our church, Wesley Methodist Church Klang (WMCK) No.4, Jalan Bukit Jawa, 41200, Klang, Selangor, cheques and bank drafts all are welcome.
What are the rewards?
There will be luxury prizes given away for top individuals BB Month collections, apart from that, there will be prizes too for the best squad BB Month collections.
Members that succeed in achieving funds more than RM300.00 and above, they are entitled to participate the company annual camp at zero fee!!!! Free!!!!
Members that succeed in achieving funds more than RM200.00 and below RM300.00, they are entitled to participate the company annual camp at a 50% discount rate from the fee.
For your information, this year annual camp will be held at Tapah, Perak with an estimated camp fee around RM120.00 - RM150.00 per person. Guarantee fun! What a deal! Think about it.
